Humanistic evaluation techniques of personality
Humanistic perspective is the idea that humans are basically good and the goal of life is to make yourself happy. Humanistic perspective focuses on the individual and the betterment of the individual, and tries to offer an easily understandable self-analysis, and character ideals by allowing people to created their own positive personality traits. Humanistic is all about self giving humans more control over their problems, and the idea that they only live to please themselves and achieve their own goals. Self-concept contributes to three aspects of our personalities: our ideal self (how we would like to be) , self-worth (what we think about ourselves), and self-image (how we see ourself).
trait theory
The trait theory studies the character traits that stand out in a person and the central traits that have remained the same for the persons life time. This theory identifies, what makes that person different
from all others. It classifies certain people as having certain traits that determine how they will act and react in certain situations. The trait theory does not attempt to give a reason for personality, it attempts to explain what exactly a persons personality is.

How do psychologists use personality inventories?
The trait theory of personality, encourages a person to determine their individual personality through the use of personality inventories. A personality inventory is diagnostic test your personality. Psychologists who give this test are trying to define their subject's personality in terms of their particular traits. Extraversion, Aggreeableness, and Openess are an example of the traits they are testing. Personality Inventories question people over a wider range of characteristics besides the typical extraverson and openness. The most famous personality inventory is the The Minnesota Muliphasic Personality Inventory (MMPI). The MMPI tests not only for personality traits but for psychological disorders as well, such as schizophrenia, paranoia, etc. Therefore the MMPI is implemented by clinical psychologists as well as employers.
